JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING MORALE, WELFARE, & RECREATION (MWR)
FOUR ONE ONE MAGAZINE
As one of the largest bases in Naval District Washington, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) is home to numerous service members of all military branches in Washington, DC. As the sole graphic designer for the installation's Morale, Welfare, & Recreation (MWR) organization, I oversee the art direction, and am responsible for the total layout and compilation of all MWR facilities and ongoing events in our monthly Four One One magazine. This publication is the go-to source for base residents and employees for information about base offerings, restaurants, special events and concerts, hours of operation, and more.

MWR SPECIAL EVENTS
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)'s MWR hosts dozens of special events each year, including the Navy-Air Force Half Marathon, which takes place every fall at the National Mall in the heart of Washington, DC. These special events, along with numerous regular ongoing programs and classes, benefit not only JBAB's military community, but also the Department of Defense and Government employees that work on the base. The following ads are just a small sampling of the various special events that are hosted by JBAB's MWR that attract people locally, nationally, and in some instances, internationally.

CMSS ARCHITECTS
HOLIDAY CARD & CALENDAR
For several years, the in-house marketing department of the architecture firm sent an annual holiday card and calendar for the upcoming year to highlight the top projects and work from the firm, and was so popular that if clients who had previously received the calendar hadn't yet received theirs, they would call to request one since they enjoyed using them so much. This particular version was from 2008-2009, where I was the lead designer on both pieces, creating a pattern of snowflakes from buildings on the holiday card, and a typographic texture pattern on the calendar pages.

DRAWING BOARD NEWSLETTER
Another publication that the CMSS Architects in-house marketing group would regularly send out was its quarterly newsletter Drawing Board, where the architects and writers would provide insight on different building trends, news, and project updates. This spread highlights the then-newly constructed Sandler Center in the Town Center of Virginia Beach, the City's Public-Private mixed-used development. This award-winning performing arts center continues to draws acts and performances from around the globe.

FREEMASON STREET BAPTIST CHURCH
A client of Creative Art & Design Studios, Freemason Street Baptist Church (FSBC), located in the historic Freemason district in Norfolk, Virginia was seeking to send direct mail to area residents to inform them of their holiday service schedule. Two postcards were designed, one with all their Advent events, and one just featuring the Christmas week services. A complementary poster was also created for the Church itself to inform parishoners of the upcoming calendar.
